Seriously, though — I’ll definitely write you a Youkilis engagement haiku. I expect mlb.com will have a story about it on their site soon enough for me to link to for the inspiration…. Until I write the “official” Baseball Haiku on the subject, here’s a custom one just for you:

Glad you enjoyed it! Sadly, there was no news of the engagement on the MLB.com news round-up today, so I had to write about the Mariners starting spring training early instead.
